In the role of Internal Sales Associate, you will be tasked with the responsibility of establishing, nurturing, and expanding relationships for Blackheath Partners insurance and annuity distribution within the United States and Puerto Rico. This will involve effectively communicating the intricacies of these products and facilitating sales by leveraging both internal and external resources associated with Blackheath Partners.
In this position you will work/report directly to the CEO and founder, to support the efforts in the implementation of these solutions for financial advisors and insurance agents. This candidate will be the internal support for the team in the field working alongside advisors and their clients. Training will be provided to ensure complete understanding of the required duties. This position is the first internal sales position with the opportunity to develop and grow within a new and exciting start up organization. The right candidate will be responsible for same day communications with advisors and providing a first-class concierge experience to those that partner with Blackheath.
Qualifications/requirements
- College degree preferred.
- Active life and health license.
- Experienced in life insurance, annuities, DI, and LTC sales and distribution.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in using technology for documentation and communication purposes.
- Proficiency in CRM or case management systems ideal.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, verbally and in written communications.
- Expected to obtain Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation within 12-18 months of completion of life and health license pending work experience.
- Travel could be necessary.
- Potential to obtain securities license necessary for variable sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Understanding of all insurance and annuity products available at Blackheath Partners available in both the United States and Puerto Rico.
- Speak with advisors to explain the product and how they achieve planning needs.
- Run and design illustrations/proposals utilizing BHP software.
- Proactively support advisors and their business.
- Monitor active sales pipeline.
Compensation:
Annual salary of $35,000 – $40,000 pending experience with annual discretionary bonus pending performance/yearly sales goals.
Benefits negotiable including health insurance and non-qualified deferred compensation.
Paid vacation time off.

Work Location:
Dorado, Puerto Rico – Remote
This position will be located in our Dorado, Puerto Rico office however there is potential for remote days (hybrid role) as office buildout continues.
