Matt Eller, CEO, Founder & Partner

Matt specializes in designing sophisticated estate planning and tax mitigation strategies for high-net-worth and high-income clients. As the founder of Blackheath Partners and head of the Premium Finance division, Matt utilizes a proactive skillset to identify complex opportunities, articulate clear strategies, and confidently convey long-term benefits to both advisors and clients.

Prior to founding Blackheath, Matt served as Managing Director at MassMutual Strategic Distributors, where he led brokerage and third-party distribution for the Southeast. During his tenure, he was a perennial recipient of the prestigious President’s Award for his success in helping advisors scale their practices through integrated insurance solutions.

Matt’s deep institutional experience also includes serving as the Southeast Insurance Specialist for Merrill Lynch, where he integrated insurance into comprehensive financial plans, as well as leadership roles as Regional Vice President and Internal Wholesaler at MetLife. Today, he leverages this high-level background to provide the technical expertise required for the most complex financing cases in the industry.

Matt’s start within the industry came as a college intern at Northwestern Mutual upon the completion of his collegiate football career at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Matt is a CERTIFIED FINACIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®). He also holds FINRA Series 7, FINRA Series 63, Series 24 licenses and North Carolina Life and Health.

Natasha Eller, Director of New Business, Partner

A London England native, Natasha combines her experience as an independent insurance producer with her dedication to providing a streamlined process, she understands the importance of communication, urgency, and a concierge service to producers and their clients. Natasha oversees all new business and contracting.

Prior to joining the insurance and financial services industry, Natasha had a successful career as manager within multi-family residential real-estate, in this position she closely monitored net operating income, property budgets, contracts and marketing of new developments across the company’s portfolio to ensure optimal occupancy and profitability for multiple concurrent properties.

She holds her North Carolina Life & Health License, along with non-residency in PR, TN, MN.

Natasha currently spends her time in PR & NC with her husband Matt and their 3 children, Madison, Maddox & Marin.

Javier Rivera, Puerto Rico Managing Director

Javier Rivera Ríos is a Puerto Rico native. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in marketing and finance from the Interamerican University and completed several master’s degrees in Business and Marketing. In 1998, he began his career in the insurance industry, dedicating 25 years of his life to it. He has had a long and successful career as an insurance and finance professional, earning a designation called Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) from the American College of Financial Services. Javier served as the former insurance commissioner during Hurricane Maria, a prominent and historic experience from 2017-2020.

Javier Rivera Rios brings a wealth of expertise to the table, encompassing financial planning and analysis, insurance market research, asset management, strategic planning, risk assessment, client relationship building, and a profound understanding of insurance law and regulations.

For 25 years, he has advised and managed a variety of portfolios to the benefit of individuals and corporations, utilizing a wide range of financial instruments to protect the personal and business interests of clients, their families, and their assets. Creator of a strong network of loyal clients through a direct approach, consistently providing honest service and robust recommendations that contribute to achieving client goals and meeting their needs.

His affiliations include serving as the Chairman of the Board for ACAA (Administración de Compensaciones por Accidentes de Automóviles), Chairman of the Board for CFSE (Corporación del Fondo del Seguro del Estado), membership in the Premier Association, Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), and as a Board Member of ASES (Administración de Seguros de Salud).

Internationally, Rivera has been a prominent figure in various forums, serving as a Key Speaker at events such as the Dominican Republic Convention for Local Producers, GB Green Week in Lloyds of London, event of the Global Warming Commission in the UK, and more. He has also participated in conferences and conventions across Latin America, further solidifying his influence in the insurance industry.

Tom Barile, Regional Sales Director ChFC ®,CLU ®

Tom Barile brings to Blackheath Partners more than 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry as an agent, wholesaler and national account manager.

Tom started his career in 1993 as an agent with the Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company. While at Connecticut Mutual, Tom developed a practice that specialized in designing customized insurance benefit programs that help small business owners attract and retain key employees and executives. In that role Tom was recognized as one of Connecticut Mutual’s top 50 first year agents in the country. In 2001, Tom’s career transitioned to wholesaling where he became the team leader for the American Skandia Life Insurance Sales Desk. Under Tom’s leadership, this team partnered with American Skandia’s external Annuity Wholesalers to cross sell variable life insurance products. They consulted wealth management advisors on life insurance solutions for business, retirement, and estate planning concepts.

After American Skandia was acquired by Prudential in 2004, Tom became a top performing Regional Vice President and National Account Manager for companies including Western Southern Financial Group, ING, and Allstate/Lincoln Benefit Life Insurance Company. Prior to joining BHP he was a regional director at John Hancock.

Tom Received his BA in Economics from Central Connecticut State University. He currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife, Jessica, where they moved from Connecticut in 2017. They have one son, Darren, who is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute and is currently serving in the United States Army.

Fun fact: outside of the financial services industry, Tom is also the former Head Boxing Coach at the United States Coast Guard Academy.

Tess Murphy, New Business Coordinator

With over six years of experience in the financial services industry, Tess has honed her expertise in client relationship management. As a New Business Coordinator, she is committed to providing clients with an exceptional, personalized service experience, ensuring seamless communication and precise execution of new business processes.
Before taking on this new role, Tess served as a Senior Client Account Specialist, where she was a key point of contact for clients, assisting advisors with building and implementing their client’s financial plans with meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, Tess has a proven track record in mentoring teams, streamlining operations, and finding solutions to any problem.
Tess is licensed in Life and Health Insurance in the state of Colorado and Arizona and is deeply passionate about providing exceptional service and communication at every step of our client’s journey.
Tess was born and raised in Alaska where they receive 24 hours of sunlight during the summer. She now resides in Arizona enjoying the outdoors with her German Shepherd, Mary.

Matt Bell, Regional Director

Matt Bell has more than 20 years of experience in financial services,
insurance distribution, and advisor development. As Regional
Director at Blackheath Partners, he partners with financial advisors,
RIAs, and wealth managers to implement advanced planning
strategies in life insurance, annuities, long-term care, and disability.
Prior to joining Blackheath Partners, Matt served as Regional Vice
President with AIG and The Hartford, where he led advisor
development and helped grow multiple Midwest territories into
nine-figure production regions.

Matt lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife Jackie and their
five children. He holds FINRA Series 7, 31, and 66 licenses, along
with Kansas Life and Health licenses.

Fun Fact: A former Arizona Diamondbacks draft pick, Matt brings
the discipline and competitive mindset of professional athletics to
his work with advisors.

Blake Pound, Insurance Associate

Blake Pound is a Certified Financial Planner® with Blackheath Partners, bringing both technical expertise and a client-first approach to his work. Before joining Blackheath, Blake spent two years with a wealth management firm in Ponte Vedra, FL, where he focused on designing comprehensive financial plans and identifying insurance strategies to protect and grow client wealth.

A Jacksonville native, Blake earned his degree from the University of North Florida, where he was also a member of the Ospreys’ baseball team. Among his collegiate athletic highlights was competing against the University of South Carolina in Columbia—a testament to his discipline and competitive drive, qualities he now channels into helping clients achieve their financial goals.
